ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Accountant with 5+ years of experience to take charge of essential financial functions across our Australian and Canadian operations. Based in our Osborne Park head office, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity, reporting directly to the Managing Director and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include: Overseeing month-end and year-end closing processesLead annual budget process, reforecasting, and scenario analysis to meet evolving business needsEnsuring compliance with BAS and GST reportingManage cash flow, working capital and oversee AP/AR and payroll for cost efficiencyEnsure regulatory compliance in Australia and Canada; deliver financial reports to executives and boardCollaborating on financial audits and liaising with external auditorsDevelop and implement financial strategies; provide insights for long-term growth and profitabilityMentor finance team; work with operations, HR and sales to align with financial objectivesABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
CPA/CA required; Master's degree in finance or business preferred5+ years of experience in finance/accounting, ideally in a complex or multi-site organisationProficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skillsStrong communication, with a proactive, problem-solving approachExperienced in process improvementsKnowledge of Australian and Canadian tax regulations; expertise in internal controls and risk management.WHY WSG?
