Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant, DA Silva Youngson Executive Search and Recruitment. Perth WA. Financial Accounting & Reporting (Accounting). Full time. DSY has partnered with an industry-leading Western Australian company to source a Senior Accountant. This opportunity would suit an experienced Accountant requiring good flexibility in their next role and who can work autonomously covering financial, management reporting and taxation.
Key Responsibilities: Monthly analysis, reporting and commentary on business operations performance. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, P&L, management reporting and cashflow statements. Hands-on accounting and management of the month-end close. Preparation of GST, BAS, Payroll, and Income Tax returns. Financial statement preparation and preparation of year-end statutory accounts. Liaison with external auditors and assistance in the annual audit process. Liaison with various internal and external senior-level stakeholders. Involvement with process and systems improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements: Accounting or equivalent Degree. CA/CPA qualified or International equivalent. 3 years+ experience at Accountant level. Strong technical accounting experience and skill set. MS Excel to advanced or 'strong intermediate' level. Well-developed and effective communication skills. Process driven with good attention to detail. Strong organisational and time management skills.
