About The Role
Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in the financial operations team.
This position involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, overseeing the month-end close process, and managing complex account reconciliations.
With opportunities to lead process improvements and mentor offshore team members, this role is suited for a proactive professional looking to make a tangible impact.
Responsibilities Oversee and manage the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Conduct supporting analyses, including Legal Entity Reviews (LERs), ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.Respond to audit inquiries and provide robust supporting documentation for internal and external audits.Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the accounting function.Collaborate with offshore teams to foster a high-performance culture and provide coaching and support.Support domestic and international commercial payment and reporting processes as needed. Skills and Experience: CPA or CA qualification with tertiary education in Accounting or Finance.Experience in Big 4 or Mid Tier Audit advantageous or large complex environments.Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in professional services or industry accounting.Proficiency in large ERP systems, with a solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.Strong experience in financial reporting, variance analysis, and statutory compliance.
