ABOUT THE ROLE As the Senior Accountant you will be a key player in the end-to-end accounting and finance cycle of the accounting and periodic book close process for Scape Finance Operations team ensuring that the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of Scape general ledger information and reports.
You will work on stakeholder management, financial close, analysis of business drivers, budgeting & forecasting as well as working with the operational team to drive a mutual understanding and collaboration of the overall business improving the reporting and internal control processes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Significant proven ability to produce and run end-to-end month end processes from transactions recording to monthly variance analysis and reporting.
Highly developed technical skills with working understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation and corporate reporting, preferably in the hospitality and property sector.
Previous experience in a medium to large private trading company.
Previous experience in preparation and analysis of management and financial reports.
Experience with medium to large ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
Proficiency in MS Excel, and other MS Office products – Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience of using and dashboarding tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc will be advantageous.
Professionally qualified (CA/CPA) accountant with Australian certification.

Self-starter with an ability to take on initiative and proactively work towards team and company goals).
