About the job Senior AccountantThis is a rare opportunity to join an established firm that has been in operation for a number of years.ResponsibilitiesWork with an existing customer portfolio to provide tax advice on self-managed super funds and trusts and lodge BAS for local businesses.Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close.Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.Research and analyse expense variances for company management.Ad hoc tasks around the office.QualificationsA minimum of five years experience with self-managed super funds, trusts, and an understanding of BAS which will be essential to managing the existing customer portfolio.CPA is essential.Preferred experience with using cloud-based tools including SuperMate, Accounting, and Timesheets products.Salary offer (based on experience): $100k to $120k plus super.Role is full time from the office (Bundaberg location). Overseas applications will not be eligible for the role.
