THE ROLE Due to organizational growth, EPEC are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full time basis located in South Brisbane. This integral role requires an autonomous individual with high EQ to undertake timely, accurate and appropriate processing of all required financial transactions for month-end and year-end closing processes.
Other key duties include:
Monthly ledger reconciliation
Preparation of statutory reports in line with regulatory standards
Auditing
Cash flow reporting & analysis
Maintaining accurate and up to date financial records
Providing assistance to the wider financial team as required
Our ideal candidate will have industry experience within a construction or project environment with the ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment. The ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality will be essential.
A key element of this role will require the ability to operate from a continuous improvement lens as you find proactive ways to streamline and optimize our financial systems and processes. ABOUT YOU 5+ years experience as a financial accountant ideally within a construction or project environment
High EQ with good analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation skills
Excellent attention to detail and solid planning and organisational skills to manage peak loads
Experience within a fast-paced, changing environment implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Experience working accounts with Pronto Accounting system favourable but not essential
