An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Principal Accountant to join a prestigious institution.
This role offers the chance to provide accurate, timely, and professional accounting support within a dynamic corporate finance environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements and acquittals in respect of external revenue and capital grant funding.
What you'll do: Perform comprehensive analysis and interpretation of legal award letters and contractsProvide strategic support and advice on grant reporting and research accountingMaintain the Grants Module - Contract, Projects and Award modules in the institution's finance systemPrepare financial statements and acquittals in respect of external revenue and capital grant fundingCoordinate with internal and external auditors for grant auditsAssist in the preparation of the notes to the institution's annual financial statementsWhat you bring: Postgraduate qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related fieldMembership within a professional institution (CPA / CA or equivalent)Strong financial accounting, analysis, and reporting skillsSignificant experience in grant reporting within complex stakeholder environmentsExperience in the preparation of financial reports e.g., income and expenditure statementsSubstantial experience in performing accounting reconciliationsWhat sets this company apart: This prestigious institution values professionalism and accountability while treating everyone with respect.
