About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Client Manager in a two-director boutique firm to join our team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients while working alongside two other managers and a shared team of staff.
Be the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients and oversee the completion of delegated compliance work.
Handle the management of accounting, taxation, and advisory tasks.
Work closely with clients to support them with all compliance and advisory matters.
Develop strong client relationships, providing excellent tailored services to clients.
Take ownership of workflow management, including documenting, monitoring, and improving where possible to ensure timely delivery of service.
Manage the review of staff work and provide feedback.
Assist with staff training and help answer staff queries.
Strive to always promote a positive office culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent degree with a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification.
8 to 10 years' experience in public practice and experience as a Business Services Manager.
Comfortable working with a variety of software (Software we use – XERO, FYI Docs, Class, ATO Mate, Now Infinity, Annature, Microsoft Suite).
Comfortable and highly experienced with frequently reviewing staff work.
An ability to delegate and supervise staff effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and staff.
High attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Be able to share staff as well as manage workflow in tandem with other managers.
