About the Role: Financial Reporting: Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You'll also be involved in preparing year-end accounts in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and liaising with external auditors. Accounts Payable: Managing the purchase ledger, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining good relationships with suppliers. Accounts Receivable: Overseeing the sales ledger, issuing invoices, and managing credit control to ensure timely payment from customers. Payroll: Processing payroll using an Australian payroll system, ensuring compliance with PAYG withholding, superannuation and other relevant tax and employment legislation. Tax Compliance: Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) including GST, PAYG withholding and instalments. Ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian tax legislation. Financial Controls: Developing and implementing robust accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Management Reporting: Providing insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision-making. Management: Mentor and coach an Assistant Accountant. About You: You are a qualified accountant (CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. You thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a highly organised and detail-oriented individual. You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
