The Senior Account Executive, Business Development will play a pivotal role in fostering client relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and contributing to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies.
You will be responsible for selling ICON's full-service pharma solutions across select strategic partnership accounts.
This includes interacting with clients during and after implementation as a key point of contact alongside our project teams, thereby ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities to expand our deployment footprint where appropriate.
The Senior Account Executive, Business Development will take ownership of their client relationships by developing knowledge of the client's business objectives, goals, markets and needs in order to deliver differentiated solutions, this may include identifying areas of our solution that need to be tailored to meet individual client needs.
This role will have a balance of working with our existing accounts as well as identifying and securing new business for our full-service solutions.
What you will be doing Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact for communication and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of services.
Identify opportunities for account expansion and revenue growth, leveraging industry trends and market insights.
Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and close.
Monitor account performance, track key metrics, and identify areas for improvement to enhance client satisfaction and retention Travel estimated 40% globally Report directly to the VP of Global Accounts & Commercial Strategy Your profile Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in strategic account management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research industry.
Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
