The Opportunity
As a Senior Aboriginal Project Officer, you will be responsible for leading consistent and high standards of services to Aboriginal children, young people and families by:
Contributing to the design, development, implementation, analysis and evaluation of policies and practices, undertaking complex research and analysis and providing strategic policy advice to assist shaping the Department's strategic direction and align with Government priorities, relating to Aboriginal children and their families.
Providing high level advice to the District and Leadership Team on issues relating to Aboriginal services that is proactive, solution-focused and responsive to Aboriginal families.
Developing and implementing cultural learning strategies that include mentoring, coaching, training and relationship building with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and the community.
Implementation of quality assurance mechanisms that support monitoring and continuous improvement of services to Aboriginal children and their families.
