Job Title: Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - Daily SupplyLocation: Leicester - LE2/LE3 areaSalary: £83 - £95 per dayStart Date: ASAPContract Type: TemporaryAbout the Role:GSL SEN Education are seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants who are wanting to gain experience working with SEN children. We are working with local mainstream primary schools nearby to LE2 and LE3, who need staff on a weekly basis to cover any sicknesses/absences that may occur.This role is on a day-to-day basis (Monday - Friday). Due to the nature of the role, you may receive a call on the day of work between 7am - 7:30am.Key Responsibilities:Build trusting relationships with students using a restorative approach.Support students with complex mental health and emotional needs.Help demonstrate the value of education to students.Assist in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure each student receives the necessary care and guidance.Provide 1:1 support to students offering extra assistance.Key Requirements:Teaching Assistant Level 2 or equivalent.A sincere passion for working with children who have special educational needs.The ability to build strong, comfort-based relationships with students.A genuine interest in understanding the challenges faced by young people with mental health and trauma issues.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Resilience and adaptability to deal with a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.Will have a Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service.
