Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Swanwick
Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start: ASAP

GSL Education Southampton Branch are pleased to introduce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant at a warm and inclusive school in Swanwick! As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing personalised assistance to help them thrive in their learning environment.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum effectively. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Monitor and record student progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents to aid in their development. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social, emotional, and academic growth. Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children with SEN. Knowledge of SEN best practices and legal requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
