About the Role: Reporting to the Semantic Team Lead, you will design and implement semantic data models within a small team to support the research activities of our customer, the Defence Science and Technology Group located at Edinburgh, South Australia.
We understand this is a very niche role, as a result no prior experience is necessary, just the willingness and aptitude to learn.
This role can be hybrid with four days onsite at Edinburgh and one day offsite.
In addition, part time positions will be considered.
What we are looking for: • Must be an Australian Citizen willing to obtain or currently holds a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related discipline.
• Must have strong abstract reasoning.
• Must have strong logical thinking skills.
What is desirable: • Interest in semantic ontologies.
• Exposure to Python or other programming languages.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative and a desire to challenge yourself and continuously improve.
