Program Coordinator - Community Inclusion selectability - mental wellbeing and suicide prevention – Townsville QLD
Full time
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Program Coordinator that will play a key role in fostering community engagement and inclusion for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and First Nations youth with psychosocial disabilities.
Reporting to the chief operating officer, this is a full-time position based in Townsville, with travel between selectability sites required.
This role has a strong focus on consultation with co-design of resources that enhance social participation and well-being of the youths in the community.


This is a varied role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, community leaders, local agencies and government bodies conducting consultations with CALD and First Nations communities to gather input and ensure their involvement in the program and resource development organising and facilitating community meetings, workshops, and focus groups to understand the challenges and needs of youth participants gathering feedback from consultations to adjust and refine programs to align with community needs developing and implementing a framework for monitoring and evaluating the impact of programs monitoring and reporting on the programs KPI's ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards representing selectability at local and regional network meetings, forums and events proactively lead and manage a team About youTo be successful you must:
experience leading teams, programs and services in mental health, disability or community services (desirable) experience in the mental health industry (desirable) experience working in youth support or programs strong computer skills with the ability to complete required reporting experience working in a team environment proficient in Microsoft office suites of programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams and other databases a positive attitude and commitment to best practice ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals You will also need:
a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive vehicle a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' occasional out of hours work may be required travel to selectability sites is required About the offer & BenefitsWe offer a range of benefits including:
