Macfab Engineering are a leading fabricator of structural steel projects in New South Wales and Victoria. Our administration and workshops are based in Albury Wodonga, and we are dedicated to manufacturing quality products that meet our tier one construction company requirements.
This is a new position for our company, and you will be mentored by the Managing Director, who has previously done this role. Within this role, you will be responsible for:
Preparing accurate & detailed quotations for structural steel projects ensuring that they meet our customers' requirements. Your industry knowledge will assist in troubleshooting and identifying the best solutions. Liaising and negotiating with repeat tier one construction customers. Leveraging your industry experience to develop competitive pricing strategies and well-informed proposals, ensuring quotes are profitable. Leading and mentoring a team of two sales engineers, promoting teamwork and timely quality quotes. Position requirements: Engineering or boiler making qualifications. Must have structural steel fabrication experience & a strong understanding of industry standards. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience doing steel take-offs, preparing quotes, and liaising with customers is essential. Must be experienced in interpreting technical drawings and understanding all of the requirements of tender documents. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A positive attitude and a drive to succeed.
