Electorate Officer (EOA) - the Hon Andrew Gee MPThe Office of Hon Andrew Gee MP is seeking applications for an ongoing full-time Electorate Officer A based in the Calare Electorate Office in Orange, NSW.
The responsibilities of the role are, but are not limited to: Responding to constituent phone calls, emails and visits to the Electorate Office.Preparing correspondence in relation to constituent enquiries.Responding to enquiries from constituents, community organisations and businesses, including liaising and connecting with government agencies.Assisting with a range of office administrative tasks, including data entry and database management.Other reasonable duties as required.Applicants should possess the following skills and experience: Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with a broad and diverse range of people across a variety of channels.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent attention to detail and record keeping.Well-developed organisational ability and time management skills.Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a small team.An understanding of the Australian system of government and parliamentary processes.Well-developed office administration and IT skills including Microsoft Office.A commencing salary between $71,808 and $76,022 will be negotiated depending on experience and relevant skills. An optional additional allowance may be considered in recognition of, and as compensation for, reasonable additional hours of work. Relocation assistance, studies assistance and paid study leave may also be available (subject to eligibility requirements). An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.
A probationary period of three months will apply and may be subject to extension.
