The WHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and implementing strategies to minimise risks.
About the opportunity: Policy & Compliance: Develop and maintain WHS policies in line with regulations, ensuring compliance and reporting to regulatory bodies. Risk Management: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions. Training & Awareness: Design and deliver WHS training programs, promoting a culture of safety and ongoing employee education. Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans, conduct drills, and coordinate efforts during emergencies. Monitoring & Reporting: Track safety data, prepare reports, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives based on safety trends. About you: Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of WHS regulations, standards, and best practices. Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Leadership: Ability to influence and motivate teams to prioritize safety.
