The Role:

Our client, a leading technology provider in Australia, is on the lookout for a talented Cybersecurity Threat Analyst. You will be one of the first hires within a new specialist security services team working alongside the SOC. As a Threat Analyst, you will play a vital role in the management of security threats and vulnerabilities across a variety of platforms while also contributing to the evolution of their vulnerability management practices, including process automation.
Overview:

In this position, you will focus on keeping our client's customer systems safe from potential cyber threats. You'll use cutting-edge tools to assess risks and coordinate efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities. A key part of your role will involve generating reports and collaborating with other cybersecurity and technical teams to strengthen defences. You'll also work to continuously enhance threat-hunting techniques and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead efforts to mitigate vulnerabilities across multiple environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.Generate reports that align with the client's security compliance requirements.Conduct discussions and presentations with technical and executive stakeholders.Play a key role in improving processes through automation and reporting enhancements.Stay up to date with cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.What You'll Need:

The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on experience with vulnerability and threat management systems. You'll need to be adept at analyzing complex environments and have previous experience working with SIEM and log collection platforms. An ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically, and prioritize tasks is also crucial.
Minimum Requirements:2+ years of experience working across different security platforms.Must be able to write CTI reports and Threat reports.Advanced search/query knowledge (KQL, SPL), deep Threat Intelligence experience.In-depth, hands-on technical experience with various vulnerability management tools.Previous exposure to SIEM and log management systems.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.Adaptable and innovative, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and high-stakes environment.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
