Security Technician / Security Installer Are you fascinated by the intricate workings of security systems? Do you thrive on the challenges of installing and maintaining cutting-edge security technology? We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Security Installer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to fully indulge your technical curiosity and expertise, making significant contributions to protecting our clients' homes and businesses.
About the Role As a Security Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, configuration, and maintenance of various security systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties.
Duties will include:
Install, maintain, service and repair a variety of security systems, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems.Perform routine maintenance and testing on these systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with Australian and Tasmanian regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security systems, including hardware and software components.Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the security needs of the organization.Provide technical support to other members of the security team and collaborate with external vendors as needed.Keep accurate records of security system installations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.Stay up to date with new security technologies and trends and make recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.Participate in emergency response and incident management activities as needed.Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of security systems.Participate in upskilling and training annually.Engage in KSS' QMS and WHS framework and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.Qualifications and Experience Previous experience working with access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems (highly desirable).Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work independently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Working with Vulnerable People Clearance.White card.Tasmanian Driver licence (manual licence not essential but preferred).The preferred applicant will be required to provide a police check prior to receiving a formal offer of employment.
We offer a highly competitive salary range for the Security Installer position, starting at $75,000. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise in security system installation.
