Security Specialist

This position is in the Protective Technology Branch (PTB), Security Systems Integration Division (SSI), Office of Security Technology (ST), Countermeasures Directorate (C), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/C/ST/SSI/PTB).
You will be responsible for the Countermeasures and Integration (C&I) program management of three separate and distinct sub-programs: Vehicle Platform Integration Management (VPIM), Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), Mobile Video Systems (MVS), and Training.

Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements:

Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting intelligence data for security programs.

Experience developing and validating Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE).

Experience evaluating the effectiveness of procurement functions.

Experience providing technical guidance and expert counsel on security systems and state-of-the-art technologies.

There is no substitute for education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
