Who You'll Work With We are looking for a Security Solutions Architect to join our growing global team of security professionals to partner with teams across the organization to ensure we meet a high standard of security for our customers and ourselves. You will leverage a broad range of technical knowledge and security capabilities to implement secure configurations and provide security guidance to our customers. You will also contribute to designs and provide guidance to teams responsible for protecting the enterprise in addition to those building the products that provide high-powered analytics capabilities to our customers.
What You'll Do Engage with Teradata's customers and account teams to ensure customer security requirements are met and any concerns addressed. Go hands-on to implement secure configurations of Teradata's solutions according to customer requirements. Problem solve and identify potential alternatives to solve customer needs/challenges, explaining any trade-offs and risks effectively. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, account teams, and engineering teams across all domains of cybersecurity. Work closely with solutions engineers and architects and account teams to write proposals and documentation necessary to sell Teradata's solutions to customers. Work with product managers and owners to plan and prioritize security-focused backlog items based on experience working with customers in the field. Partner with engineering teams to help drive design secure cloud applications, services, platforms, and security controls in multiple cloud environments built on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (GC). Perform reviews of architecture diagrams and documentation to identify risks and opportunities to improve the security posture of solutions. Engage with engineering, product, IT, governance, risk, and compliance leaders to ensure security considerations underpin decisions about new technologies, solutions, and projects. Maintain knowledge of emerging security threats, trends, and best practices to factor them into guidance and decisions on an ongoing basis. What Makes You a Qualified Candidate Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience in a customer-facing role such as consultant or solutions engineer/architect. 3+ years of experience in technical domains including application development, cloud computing, security, identity and access management and infrastructure. Experience working in AWS, Azure, and/or GC and their security offerings. What You'll Bring In-depth knowledge of cloud, network, and infrastructure security. Experience designing and securing solutions in complex hybrid cloud enterprise and SaaS environment(s). Demonstrated ability to define security requirements and partner with and guide engineering teams in design and implementation of those requirements. Ability to assess software designs and architecture diagrams for security issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate requirements and risks to stakeholders including customers, sales teams, engineering teams, and senior leadership. Knowledge of security best practices and common security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, Common Criteria, OWASP, etc. Experience developing and security-focused architecture documentation. Additional qualifications that are nice to have: Experience as an end-user or admin of Teradata's solutions. Security focused certifications like CCSK, CCSP, CISSP, CEH, OSCP or certifications from the major cloud service providers. Experience working with compliance frameworks such as IRAP, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, or HITRUST. Experience contributing to the security community (e.g. open-source tools, presenting at conferences). Application security or vulnerability management experience. Security Clearance
