About the role: We are looking for a Security Operations Specialist to support and develop operational security requirements across multiple campuses in CDC.
The incumbent will be accountable for maintaining the physical security of critical infrastructure facilities and will work as part of a close-knit team delivering outstanding service to our customers.
The Security Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing physical security operations, access control management, vendor management, risk mitigation and emergency response protocol.
Key responsibilities include: Assists the Manager, Security Operations in the creation, update and review of Operational Security policies and procedures.Leads physical security and (from time-to-time) business continuity rollouts (including compliance programs) at the campuses assigned to them.Maintains liaison with the Security Governance team and supports new security initiatives and rollouts at a site level.Participates with cross-functional teams and site facility management teams, to review operational security processes within CDC Data Centers, refine or make suggestions for continuous improvement and support implementation of changes.Contributes and participates in process improvement projects.Leads security matter related tasks within some cross-functional projects.Plans, co-ordinates, and monitors project steps from start to completion (e.g.
sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of project, conducts meetings).Analyzes day-to-day performance against security operations KPI's and proposes improvement recommendations to standardize/improve processes to the Manager, Security Operations.Provides day to day support to multiple data centers and is the point of contact for Operations Security.Day-to-day support and escalation point for onsite physical security teams.Supports customer audits, RFPs and RFIs – where pertaining to (site specific) Operational Security questions.Addresses assigned audit findings and tracks them to closure.Compiles and prepares security matter related metrics and data for management reporting.Continual engagement with electronic and physical security vendors.Embrace and model CDC's DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.Provide cultural and operational team leadership.Mentor and impart knowledge to junior staff.Other duties as directed from time to time.About you: Experience in security operations and managing large & complex security infrastructure.Deep understanding of operating security technologies.
Sound understanding and application of accounting practices, procedures, standards, and legislation.Sound knowledge of key stakeholder requirements and the ability to communicate through multiple channels.Strong people and relationship management skills with the ability to work in a positive team environment communicating and engaging effectively at all levels.Certificate II / III in Security Operations, ISO27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor, CISSP / CISM / CISA or Diploma in Risk Management highly preferred.Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.How to Apply: If you are looking to own your career and take on a new challenge in a fast-growing Australian Technology company and be part of our amazing team, please submit your resume and cover letter by clicking Apply.
