The Security Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Security Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your opportunity Security Officers aim is to provide a safe, consumer focused environment by maintaining a highly visible presence as a deterrent to inappropriate behaviour, aiding in the detection of unacceptable activities, targeting asset protection to minimise loss or damage to property, and embracing a proactive risk identification and mitigation philosophy.
About the Team The MHHS Security Services comprises of a Security Officer Service, Occupational Violence Prevention Service, Care Support Officer Service and Access Administration Service.
These facets of Security Services work supportively of each other, are committed to sustainable service delivery, adherence to the health service's core values and work in unison to achieve a common goal of protecting MHHS's people and assets.
About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
