About the role: As a Security Officer at Downer, you will ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, and visitors at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors through active monitoring and patrols.Address and resolve security concerns raised by end-users within 24 hours.Attend Code Blacks and respond to security incidents promptly (within five minutes).Conduct regular guard tours, reporting maintenance issues and issuing infringement notices as necessary.Complete mandatory training within one month of employment and adhere to health and safety policies.Write incident reports promptly after each event or by the end of your shift.Liaise with internal teams and external partners, including healthcare representatives and emergency services.Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Positive attitude with a flexible approach to changing work practices.Commitment to safety and continual quality improvement.Strong customer service focus and professionalism in presentation.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Competency in reading and writing English to perform duties safely and effectively.Requirements: Certificate II in Security (mandatory).Current SA Security License (mandatory).Current First Aid certificate with CPR (mandatory).Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (mandatory).Proven experience in security, preferably in a healthcare environment.Intermediate to advanced computer skills and incident report writing capabilities.About us: Downer is the leading provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand.
