ABOUT THE ROLE: Location: Melbourne CBD and suburb locationsPay rate from Level 2 – Level 5Must have control room endorsement on security licenseWilson Security is expanding in Melbourne, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the whole state.
This growth has created new roles within our team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.
These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers.
They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Control room duties – monitoring and operating CCTV cameras including premises patrol and reporting suspicious activity.
(Control room operators will only be expected to do patrols on exception.
)Assisting with emergency situations via CCTV until resources have been deployedAccess control management and Alarm/fire monitoring – ensuring site compliance is always adhered toCommunications with Emergency services and Police - when requiredMaintaining Security & Visitor logbooks, Weapons register, and Lost/Found registerWriting daily activity reports into the reporting system.Competent in the use of MS computer systemsCompetent use of security software such as Gallagher, Genetec, and Tecom electronic security systems will be highly regardedWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Australian Citizen or Full working rightsVictorian Security License (current)Victorian Security, Category H handgun License (current)Control room endorsement on security licenceWorking with Children check – (desirable)Competent in MS Office and associated programsWell-presented and have excellent verbal/written communication skills24hr flexibility to work a rotating roster – 12 hr shiftsWilson Security is an employer of choice, engaging with our people both online and in person.
