As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, enforce rules and regulations, and respond to incidents and emergencies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent observational skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Conduct regular patrols of the assigned area to identify and address security risks.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any disturbances.
Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions.
Enforce company policies and procedures while ensuring a respectful and safe environment.
Participate in training and drills to enhance emergency preparedness.
Report safety hazards, suspicious activities, or security breaches to the appropriate authorities.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security management is a plus.
Proven experience as a security officer or relevant position preferred.
Strong observational and surveillance skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
Must be physically fit and capable of standing or walking for long periods.
Valid security officer license or certification, as required by local regulations.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
