Dreamworld, Australia's favourite family theme park dedicated to 'FUN' and SkyPoint, one of the Gold Coast's most iconic visitor attractions located atop the Q1 Building in Surfers Paradise seek to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Security Officer to join our team.
The role of a Security Officer is to provide maximum security and safety for all persons and assets within Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint. The role will be predominantly based at the Dreamworld site. This may involve a variety of duties such as gatehouse, front-entry, as well as in-park and licensed area security duties. It also will involve emergency response, patrols and static duties.
We seek friendly, customer-focused security professionals with a 'can-do' approach who will thrive in our 'FUN' and unique environment, whilst proactively responding to a variety of situations as they arise.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will meet the following criteria: Have exceptional communication skills;Be approachable and outgoing;Have technical proficiency with using computer-based systems;Ability to work efficiently whilst under pressure;Exceptional presentation standards;Previous Security experience is essential;Availability to work a range of shifts across a 24/7 roster (including weekends, late and overnight, peak periods).In addition to the above, you must have a current driver's licence, first aid and CPR certificate, security licence (including unarmed, crowd controller, monitoring and cash in transit), plus a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate. This is a physically demanding role; therefore, a high level of energy and physical fitness are required to perform duties.
Please note that Casuals are employed by the hour for the hour on an 'as needs basis'.
