The Security Manager is a newly created position to ensure contemporary security and emergency management frameworks are in operation in the Parliament of Tasmania. The successful candidate will manage the contract for the provision of security services and deliver high-quality services to support the safety and security of the parliament's community and properties.
About Us The Parliament of Tasmania is a meeting place where elected representatives meet to make laws, authorise the expenditure of public funds, scrutinise the government of the day, and give a voice to their constituents in their electorates. The Parliament is made up of three (3) separate entities consisting of House of Assembly, Legislative Council, and Legislature-General.
Your opportunity We're looking to secure a new Security Manager. As a trusted colleague, you'll have professional flexibility to perform the role whilst being empowered to build a sense of community at work. You'll be reporting to the Sergeant-at-Arms and Usher of the Black Rod.
We want to hear from you if you have or are able to obtain a Tasmanian Security Employee Licence, a Working with Vulnerable People Check, & National Police Check as a condition of employment.Demonstrated experience in management of security and risk mitigation.Proven experience in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures and business writing.Demonstrated capability in contract management, including negotiating, monitoring key performance indicators, tender development and driving value-for-money, or the ability to quickly acquire that capability.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.The ability to respect confidentiality in the workplace.How to apply?
