We employ over 400 approachable, professional, and supportive staff across many departments who offer our guests unsurpassed wellness, hot springs experiences and an exceptional level of service.About the Role:The Security & Guest Support Officer is a key role which will ensure the security and safety of all guests, employees and the facility by maintaining and following all company standard operating procedures, while working within all state and federal laws.Our successful applicant will work in a part time role maintaining a high standard of customer service for guests and perform and attend to any security and safety issues (including first aid administration if required) as they arise.Key Responsibilities:Monitor and patrol PHS property, buildings, and grounds area, including bathing facilities, glamping, car park, maintenance compound and patrolling the property boundaries, documenting any breeches that may occur.Investigate and report on irregularities and guard against unlawful behaviour from guests, acting in line with PHS processes and procedures to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise.Maintain an activity log and prepare surveillance reports.Attend to all incidents, security risks and emergencies, and follow the direction of the Duty Manager.Communicate with and escalate serious incidents with Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria where necessary.Complete detailed incident reports diligently and efficiently, documenting any incidences that have occurred throughout your shift.Monitor CCTV systems.Provide additional support to all operational teams if required during busy times to ensure the guest experience is maintained consistently to a high standard.Our Successful Applicant will have:Valid Security Guard license in state of Victoria.Certificate 2 in Security Operations (desired).Previous experience as a Security Guard, Crowd Controller or similar within a large facility.Working knowledge of basic security techniques.Current Working With Children's Check (or willing to obtain).Current Police Check (or willing to obtain).Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Physically fit to perform the role and capable of manual handling duties.Strong commitment and responsiveness to guest needs.Ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.On offer to You:Peninsula Hot Springs truly believes that our people are the heart of our business.
