$100-120K + Super + Bonus + Training AllowanceFlexible working arrangementsThe Company:Our client is a leading Australian based IT consulting company. Working closely with the Government & Financial Services sector as well as Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing & Media.You will be working in a growing Cyber Security team leading the technical deployments, and supporting SIEM tools within the SOC.The Role:As the Cyber Security Engineer you will be working on the day to day engineering operations within the CSOC whilst working with large datasets to optimise detection rules, write new rules and ensure they align with the business objectives.The successful candidate is expected to have an intimate understanding of IT Security and have a good grasp on the technology that underpins a modern SOC and ICT environment.You will be working closely with other internal teams and alongside your SOC colleagues to help provide an effective line of defence against existing and evolving threats.Responsibilities Include:Develop and implement SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM integrations inc. threat intelligence feeds, authentication systems, and response systems.Collaborate with various internal teams to implement and support Cyber Managed Service Solutions.Implementation and deployment of my clients SIEM or log collection and correlation platforms.Task switching; must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize your workload effectively.Key Requirements:Systems Engineering experience: Deployment, Configuration, Maintenance of Linux, Windows and Unix systemsYou will be working with SIEM technology primarily SPLUNK (Backend)Programming skills (Python/Ruby) and the ability to leverage those to solve complex problems and/or automate mundane tasks.CISSP/OSCP/GSEC/GCED/GMON/GCIA or equivalent certifications are beneficialPlease note that you must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Australia to be considered.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.To apply please click apply or call Cody Berry on 02 8289 3123 for a confidential discussion.About the jobContract Type: FULL_TIMESpecialism: Information TechnologyFocus: Cyber SecuritySalary: AUD100,000 - AUD120,000 per annum + Super + Bonus + Training AllowanceWorkplace Type: HybridExperience Level: AssociateLocation: SydneyJob Reference: 2014320/001Date posted: 24 October 2024Consultant: Cody BerryCome join our global team of creative thinkers, problem solvers and game changers.
