This is a contingent position based upon contract award What You'll Do In the role of Security Duty Officer, Senior, your duties will include: Provide 24x7 personnel access control to ensure classified information and sensitive materials are properly secured and safeguarded for all classified areas.
Perform management and supervisory responsibilities as the shift supervisor or senior SDO, for that shift.
Provides 24-hour monitoring and response to facility fire alarms and other emergency indicators (e.g., Lock-down alarm).
Performs all repair, maintenance, and combination changes on all safes and vault locks.
Operate the USG provided paging and radio network.
Scans all submitted computer software for viruses.
Manages/maintains keys and combination control and conducts roving patrols.
Assists and is on recall for Emergency Response as directed and serves as the first responder and facility focal point for all medical emergencies inside and outside of classified areas.
Requirements: Must be a US or Australian citizen
Must have a US TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance
Must have a minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a security manager or similar position.
Must have a minimum of three years of security supervisory experience managing and leading security teams.
Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV).
Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
Has an expansive knowledge of security systems and apparatuses.
Supports others in intricate security actions in agreement with customary processes to fulfill the organization's security principles.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
