Security (Information & Communication Technology) The company is an ASX-listed enterprise in the South East suburbs of Melbourne, early stages in a significant Security uplift program. Their Cyber Security team is growing, and StraightUp have already hired 2 staff for them, both individuals thoroughly enjoy working there and the organisation's culture and environment. There is lots of opportunity for growth within the business, with our most recent hire having been promoted within the first 8 months!

The Security Automation Engineer is a newly created role in the team and is responsible for supporting the company's cyber security environment by providing security automation design and implementation services, security technology support, and expertise in identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies.

The role also supports day-to-day security operations as required, including ensuring security policies and procedures are followed, reviewing audit findings, and assisting with threat monitoring/response activities, also creating day-to-day reporting including contributing to management reporting.

Responsibilities: Review and implement automation solutions use cases for existing security solutions and other systems as required Design, build, and manage automated testing frameworks to optimise efficiency and re-usability Utilising Rapid7 SOAR, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Imperva and O365 Security components to improve reporting and controls assurance capabilities Support incident management activities Create daily reporting for availability, confidentiality, integrity, and key IT systems health checks, User access reviews, etc. Desired experience & attributes: This is a niche role which could be suitable for candidates from multiple backgrounds. You could be an Automation Tester who has had some experience with Cyber Security products or you could be a Security Analyst/Engineer who has some killer automation skills! The list goes on... The most important requirement - you have a good amount of automation experience! Solid scripting skills in one or more of the following: Powershell, Bash, Python etc. Experience with the Rapid7 suite would be highly advantageous, or with comparable products Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders Please apply if this position sounds of interest and you'd like to know more!
