The role: As a Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing security strategies that safeguard critical systems and data solutions.
You will take ownership of designing, implementing, and refining robust security frameworks that align with industry standards and best practices.
Working alongside a talented team of specialists, you'll have the opportunity to influence the security direction of key client projects.
This position will suit someone who thrives on translating complex requirements into effective security strategies and has the ability to balance innovation with risk management.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of security architectures for client systems, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, and aligned with compliance requirements.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing mitigations that address both current and emerging threats.
Define and enforce security standards and frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DSPF, PSPF, and ASD/ACSC ISM.
Work closely with technical and business teams to integrate security by design principles into new and existing projects.
Perform ongoing security assessments and provide guidance on enhancing overall security posture.
Develop and refine incident response plans to ensure rapid and effective responses to security incidents.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience Required: You'll bring a minimum of 5 years in security architecture, with a proven track record of successfully delivering secure solutions for complex on-premise and cloud environments.
You will also possess the following skills and expertise: Strong understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEMs, and cloud security controls.
Familiarity with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential Eight, and the ability to implement best practices that support regulatory compliance.
Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable architectures that align with broader organizational goals.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Understanding of Information Management and information governance.
Understanding of Windows Servers, VMWare, vSphere, vCentre, M365, AD, networking, and firewalls preferred.
One or more of the following certifications are highly regarded: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert What makes us a great place to work?
