Security Architect required to join a Federal Agency to support the delivery of a Whole of Government federated information sharing environment.

No Award applies for this role: Rates from $150.00 per hour are offered (inclusive of superannuation and casual loading) - dependent on skills and experience.
8 hours per day - 40 hours per week.
Australian Citizens required - holding an NV1 Clearance.
Locations: Canberra, ACT.

About the Role: A Federal Government Agency requires an experienced Security Architect to support the delivery of a whole of government federated information sharing environment.
The environment will provide access to real-time criminal intelligence and information across Australian jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will have experience designing and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-wide ICT security solutions in a multi-agency environment, including the ability to define a program of work.
Responsibilities: Supporting the program in definition of effective ICT Security capabilities and solutions to meet capability and business requirements.
Ensuring the solution is fit for purpose from a security perspective and meets policies and compliance.
Collaborating with Program and Enterprise Solution/System Architects and business stakeholders to drive holistic technology implementation across Value Streams.
Supporting architecture strategies including: Choice of technology, System/Solution Architecture Strategy, Development and Deployment Infrastructure Strategy, Inter-program collaboration, and Implementation Strategy.
Developing key security documents (SSP Annex, SSP, SRMP, SOPS) that underpin the security accreditation and architecture governance processes.
Skills & Experience Required: 5 years' experience in a Security Architect role in developing cloud-based security solutions including: Gateways and Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection/prevention, Threat and Virus analysis, Encryption (at rest and in transit).
Capability to ensure the solution is fit for purpose from a security perspective and meets policies and compliance requirements including: ISM and IRAP, ACIC and Home Affairs Security Accreditation Frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage security architecture technical designs.
Experience in design and engagement with existing Enterprise Security capabilities, including SIEM and SOC.
Experience in designing and supporting organisations developing and supporting security capability through Scaled Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
