The opportunityThis level 1 Security Analyst will play a fundamental role in the analysis, investigation, logging, monitoring and escalation of cyber security events produced by the SIEM 24/7. Ideally, you are an Australian Citizen who is open to undergoing a Security Clearance process or currently holds an active clearance.
Day to day you'll:Promote and support the security process, outcomes, and value proposition to the organisation.Manage the governance processes to promote effective oversight and solution quality within security business areas.Enable Cyber Security event handling such as:Security alert monitoring and response 24/7, eyes on glass. You will also support a 24x7 roster.Investigation, escalation, and ownership of incidents.Track tactical issues in execution of SOC responsibilities and process.Ensuring the Investigation process and correct chain of custody for evidence handling and gathering.Ticket logging.Ensuring incidents are addressed in a timely manner using available reporting and metrics.Monitoring Level 1 Analyst events.Work closely with our clients and their engagements through supporting the reporting, communication for incidents and follow up.Maintaining the SOC documentation and analytic playbooks.Perform incident investigation and triages confidently.Identify opportunities for tuning noisy alerts and automation.What you'll bring:Previous experience supporting client environments as a L1 analyst with exceptional customer service skills.Demonstrated experience performing incident investigation, threat detection and triages confidently.Cybersecurity Operations and SOC Analytic skills.Experience working in Azure based environments (cloud security).Experience with SIEM - Azure Sentinel.Awareness of MITRE ATT&CK framework techniques and tactics.SOC Wiki (maintenance and documentation creation).Let's get to know each other.
