In this role, you'll work with your team to deliver great client outcomes and grow your career rapidly as a cyber security professional.The Security Analyst is responsible for providing core security operations, project support, and Tier 1 and 2 analytical support for MSS clients and capabilities.Our Security Operations team pride ourselves on being inclusive, diverse and growth focused. CyberCX has an increasing Women in Cyber network internally and we value this diversity in our teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform SIEM based event analysis and incident triage, incident management, and escalation to customers.Conduct and review vulnerability assessments, and assess potential data sets and feeds for security value and impact.Identify and analyse events of interest as part of threat hunting activities.Use case development and improvement.Assist with customer management, process and governance improvement, audit compliance etc, and provide general project support.Prepare internal and client communications around security issues.Actively collaborate across CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value.Facilitate communication, partnerships, and cross-pollination across the business to allow teams to better engage and service customers.Mentor and participate in training associate security analysts.Participate in working hours between 8am-6pm & After-Hours, Public Holiday and Weekend On-call roster, where required.Experience & SkillsTertiary qualification in information technology or similar field (preferred).1-3 years' experience in a similar role.Fundamental IT (Application, System, Network, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud) experience.Previous experience with IT security tools and controls is desirable, including SIEM, EDR, VMS, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, WAF, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Fundamentals.Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner.Personal AttributesProfessional and ethical, you inspire trust and confidence through integrity and respect.Customer-obsessed and a self-starter, you go above and beyond to deliver extraordinary results and experiences for customers.Innovative and open to change, you are focused on finding opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to optimise work processes.Collaborative and with an enterprise mindset, you speak up and welcome all input, opinions, and questions.Emotionally intelligent, you collaborate with empathy, connection, and assertiveness.What's in it for youBe part of an innovative, forward-thinking Security Operations team that is committed to excellence.Extensive on-the-job training and certification support.Continuous growth and professional development opportunities.You will be surrounded by technical security specialists, including some of Australia's best security practitioners.About CyberCXCyberCX has united Australia and New Zealand's most trusted cyber security companies to deliver the most comprehensive end to end cyber security services offering to enterprises and governments.
