About the Role:
ASC is seeking a dedicated Security Advisor – Supply Chain Security to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing and maintaining security arrangements for our supply chain, ensuring compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and the ASC Security roadmap. You will also undertake security activities aligned with ASC programs, including Nuclear Propulsion Submarine Safety Regulator (NPSSR) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the effective implementation of security measures across all areas of ASC's supply chain.
• Provide expert advice, relevant training, and assurance activities related to supply chain security.
• Support adherence to DISP and other ASC security initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and develop action plans to address security concerns.
• Communicate complex issues simply and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrate high integrity and resilience in addressing security challenges.
• Work collaboratively and develop strong cross-functional teams across the organization.
• Drive positive business and customer-focused outcomes through strategic vision and future-focused mindset.
•Consistently demonstrate positive cultural behaviours aligned with organisational values.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Professional qualification in an appropriate field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Defence or similar environment, with a focus on Defence security policies.
• In-depth knowledge of Physical, Personnel, and Information security policy requirements in relation to Defence.
• Experience in compliance, assurance, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop effective action plans.
• Highly driven and motivated to achieve positive business and customer-focused outcomes.
• Strategic vision with a future-focused mindset.
• High level of integrity and resilience in facing challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an NV2 Australian Defence Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
