About the Opportunity Reporting to the Security Manager, our Security Advisor will ensure the effective and compliant operation, implementation, administration, rectification, coordination and management of all processes, systems and measures concerning security for ASC's main and satellite sites.
Our Security Advisor will deliver effective security services and implement effective governance and general security services.
Responsibilities Security for all classified materials IAW the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership, and the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). Provide guidance in all instances of security threats to the business. Provide expert level guidance into the implementation of security technology across all aspects of current and emerging technologies. Identify and rectify security non-compliance and if required implement an approved risk managed approach. Acquire and apply specific technical knowledge and experience to identify research and analyse security issues to enable accountable decision making. Prepare and present security training and awareness sessions. Efficient, timely processing and accurate record keeping. About you Qualification in Security and/or Risk management or a related field. Tertiary Qualification or equivalent experience in a field that directly relates to Physical, Personnel, Governance or Cyber Security in the Defence Industry perspective is highly desirable Proven background in a Defence or Defence Industry role with a minimum 5 years' experience. Demonstrated experience in security disciplines and their practical application to Defence. Demonstrated knowledge advising on Protective Security Policy Framework, Defence Security Principles Framework, Information Security Manual. Knowledge of IT sanitation process of destruction is highly desirable. Ability to communicate complex issues effectively (written and verbal) Highly driven and motivated, High level of integrity and resilience. Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is highly desirable. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV2 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
