Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.

About the role
Reporting to the Logistics Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring the day to day operation of a busy yard to ensure all aspects run efficiently, with a high focus on safety and effectiveness.
This role is central to ensuring project milestones are met, so experience running large construction yards in excess of 150,000 square meters is key.
This role will mostly be split between 60% Yard work - 40% Office work.
This position will be based on site within the Deniliquin region and would suit someone who comes from a construction FIFO background, leading hand background and/or seeking a step up in his career.
Alternatively a local resident of the Riverina area would be suitable for the role.
Your focus will include:
Safely co-ordinate day to day logistics, yard, laydown and customer relationships Manage and supervise yard team members Working closely with OHTL supervisors and Substation supervisors to ensure plant, equipment and received materials are available to suit programmed works and meet necessary specifications Working with Material Controls/Logistics team to ensure accurate stock control Ensure daily prestart's and post operational checks are conducted Monitor controls for material stacking, storage, loading and unloading to promote safety and efficiency in the yard Ensure high standards in WHS are promoted and enforced What you will bring to the team:
3-5 years as a Yard Supervisor within construction/FIFO experience Understanding of safety processes and laydown area Current driver's license and white card is essential Current LF Forklift license, Rigging, Dogging and Telehandler licenses is highly desirable but not mandatory Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite Proof of right to work in Australia Ability to manage over 40 - 50 various yard personnel, including leading hands, HR drivers, operators, forklift drivers etc.
