Senior Project Engineer - Transmission Lines - Billion Dollar Project Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
In this role, you will oversee the technical delivery and management, with a key focus on stringing, construction methodologies, and strategy implementation, while managing costs and ensuring safe, efficient, and timely completion.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take a leadership role in delivering a critical energy infrastructure project.
Primary Accountabilities:
Evaluate and improve constructability and develop effective stringing solutions for 330kV and 500kV Oversee the safe and effective delivery of stringing activities Be a senior figure in a team working to deliver works packages to program and budget Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work and evaluate and select appropriate sub-contractors and suppliers Analyse risks within construction to ensure works are delivered safely and meet all environmental and quality requirements.
Prepare construction budgets, forecast and updates Actively leads and exemplifies a target zero safety culture Implements systems and processes to manage the quality element of construction works Apply skills and knowledge to assist in planning and value engineering Lead in the management of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects and performance Skills & Experience:
Degree in Engineering or similar and 10 + years of OHTL experience Thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills White Card (General Construction Induction Card) Driver's License We're building a diverse workforce.
