We value flexibility, and the Secretariat Officer role can be performed from any capital city in a state or territory or Townsville. The Executive Assistant role can be performed from Melbourne or Sydney. Both roles are available on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.

What you will do as the Secretariat Officer: Provide a wide range of high quality secretariat services for a number of committees including coordinating and scheduling meetings, rooms, attendees and equipment; drafting and finalising agendas; taking, collating and finalising minutes; monitoring and updating action item registers and forward schedules. Compile papers for submission to relevant committees, including ensuring papers comply with the organisation's style guide, and timely distribution of submissions to committee members. Be an active member of the Secretariat Community of Practice, sharing ideas and experiences where relevant and assisting the Secretariat team to plan and prepare for meetings. Communicate with Commissioners and senior executives to ensure that meetings run effectively, and that decisions are accurately recorded. What you will do as the Executive Assistant: Provide high level administrative support, including printing and collating documents, as well as proof read, edit and draft documents. Assist in the management of documents across the Executive Office, adhering to systems and clearance processes. Answer queries and respond to emails on behalf of Commissioners. Manage diaries independently, including book and manage travel arrangements. Coordinate the payment of invoices, acquittal of expenses and monitor expenditure against budgets. About you In order to succeed in these roles, you will have:
relevant work experience in a secretariat, governance or administration role or extensive experience as an Executive Assistant to a Senior Executive. a demonstrated ability to effectively: plan, organise and prioritise competing work tasks in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision. incorporate strategic thinking to lead and manage projects, identify issues and propose suitable solutions. show strong attention to detail. communicate simply, clearly and effectively in different mediums. engage and work collaboratively with other people. apply sound judgement, and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. demonstrated strong expertise in using a range of office technologies and computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Finance and iManage record management (or similar) and databases. Experience using Diligent Boards is desirable. a sound understanding of the ACCC's functions and the importance of activities and knowledge management across the ACCC or the ability to quickly acquire this understanding.
