Secretariat and Project Support Officer
Full-time PermanentDetails: The Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project Team has an exciting opportunity for a Secretariat and Project Support Officer to join our team.
Major Projects Canberra is responsible for leading the design development and delivery for the redevelopment of the new Canberra Theatre Centre. Lead by the Project Director, Canberra Theatre Redevelopment, the team is responsible for the procurement, planning, stakeholder and community engagement, design development and construction of a new Canberra Theatre Centre as the foremost performing arts centre in the ACT.
The Secretariat and Project Support Officer provides secretariat and administrative support for the Project. The primary duties for this position are:
Provide secretariat functions for project related governance groups, including preparation of meeting papers, minutes and recording/tracking the status of actions, coordinating, preparing, and distributing documentation from meetings.Assist with Board member travel, remuneration and recruitment processes as required.Under limited direction, provide support to the Canberra Theatre Redevelopment Project Team to draft, collate and produce information for government business requests, including presentations and written reports.In addition, the Secretariat and Project Support Officer will be required to provide secretariat support to the CIT Woden Campus Project Board, and may be required to assist other designated projects with development, implementation and management of their respective Project Governance Frameworks.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: A good working knowledge of Objective and/or SharePoint would be an advantage.Previous experience in a secretariat or coordination role would be advantageous, but not necessary.Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times. Please note, this position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
