About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated and passionate VCE Maths Teacher to join a Christian-focused school in Taylors Hill, located in Melbourne's West, commencing in Term 1, 2025.
This role involves teaching students in Years 10 General Maths and 11-12 Methods.
This esteemed Christian school serves approximately 1,300 students from Years 7-12 across two campuses.

Key duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive VCE Maths curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum guidelines, possibly covering subjects such as Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, and Further Mathematics.Create engaging and rigorous lesson plans that address the specific content and skills required for success in VCE Maths subjects.Prepare students for the VCE Maths examinations by teaching content, problem-solving strategies, and examination techniques.Administer practice exams and assessments to gauge students' readiness and identify areas for improvement.Utilize technology tools and resources effectively to enhance VCE Maths instruction, including graphing calculators, mathematical software, online resources, and digital learning platforms.Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in VCE Maths education, teaching methodologies, curriculum developments, and assessment strategies.Provide pastoral care and support to students, including spiritual guidance, counselling, and mentorship as required.Incorporate Christian teachings and ethics into classroom discussions and interactions with students.Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the school and actively contribute to its Christian ethos.Skills & Experience: Possess relevant qualifications in Education.Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration.Have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia.Demonstrate proven experience teaching VCE Maths (essential).Experience in Christian or Catholic school environments is highly desirable.Provide contact details for two recent, education-based referees (within the last five years).Offering: Teach General and Methods to Year 10-12 students.Become part of a dynamic, faith-based school community that is continuously growing and evolving.Start in Semester 1, 2025, in a full-time, permanent position.Receive a competitive salary based on your experience, ranging from $78,000 to $116,000.The School: Two spacious campuses catering to students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.Supportive and approachable management team with a focus on small, effective team structures.Strong Christian values integrated into the school's ethos.Well-regarded and respected institution within the local community.Collaborative planning approach with ample professional development opportunities for staff.How to apply:
