Secondary Teachers: Permanent and Contract Positions – Teach in Canberra We are seeking passionate and qualified secondary classroom teachers for permanent and contract positions in ACT public schools. Teaching areas of specialisation include:
Inclusive and Disability Educators Mathematics Physical Education, Health and Outdoor Education Science Visual and Performing Arts Design and Technology Information Technology Humanities and Social Sciences We believe in the life-changing impact of education. The growing ACT public education system educates more than 50,000 students across 92 public schools, from early childhood to college.
Minimum Requirements:
You have relevant and recognised tertiary qualifications. Have a passion for teaching and education and support a student-centred approach to learning. Have the expertise and the ability to teach across a broad age and ability range. Demonstrate knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum and outcomes-based learning. Have positive classroom management skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Proven experience establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents/carers. Education qualifications: Have an approved four-year full-time tertiary education qualification. Teacher registration: Hold a valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI). Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration: Have a valid ACT WWVP. Approved working status: Be an Australian citizen and/or be permanent resident and/or hold a valid working visa. Evidence of your teacher registration or, if currently studying, evidence of your enrolment in an accredited initial teacher education course.
