About the role - As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practicesCollaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogyUphold our College Vision, Mission and Values, successfully implement the Australian Curriculum in the nominated learning areas and collaboratively develop quality student-centred learning sequencesEmbrace our College policies and practices which prioritise effective pedagogical practicesPromote our College MMC Learning Dispositions to be Curious, Creative, Self-directed and ResilientProactively engage with professional renewal practices to enhance student learning outcomesWork in partnership with the College Leadership Team, Middle Leaders, Academic Staff and School Officers, and contribute to the life of the CollegeAssess, provide feedback and report on student learningWork with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the schoolProactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomesEnsure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching. About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Humanities and Religious Education as well as:Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum, assessment and reporting expectations and experience in enacting a systematic curriculum deliveryCommitment to child safetyExemplary communication and interpersonal skillsProven organisational skillsDevelop a nurturing and creative learning environment, founded on high expectations which intentionally prioritises student-centred learningThe ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carersImplement innovative and creative practicesAn ability to identify and cater for high potential learning and students requiring supportIntegrate digital technology into a contemporary learning environmentBe supportive of the liturgical and prayer life of the College and Catholic EducationCommitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomesDemonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
