This role includes coordinating NGS Co-Curricular sports programs, recruiting and selecting teams, planning and attending training sessions, coordinating coaching resources, and overseeing NGS sporting events and school sports representative pathway events. The Sport Coordinator will work closely with the Sport Administrator to ensure smooth and safe operations.Within this role, you will also be responsible for:Coordinating Newcastle Grammar School's Secondary Sport program, including but not limited to structured sporting streams, focusing on:Recruitment for NGS sporting streams and teamsPreparation of teams for events reflective of NGS's standards of excellencePre-event logistics and resource preparationsEvent-day management of teams (including supervision)Post-event management (manage resources, documentation and result recording)Planning and coordinating team training sessions and/or trials including:Booking venues, ensuring wet-weather considerations have been madeCreating and managing team/trial squad rolls on ClipboardArranging/booking transportPlan, attend and coordinate trainingSourcing and allocating coaching or casual staffAttending sporting events as directed by the Head of Sport – Secondary, sometimes as the sole NGS representative.Coaching NGS teams in sports aligned with qualifications.Allocating and managing coaches and casual NGS Sports Staff, ensuring standards reflect NGS expectations.Maintaining accurate Clipboard records, including team lists, event results, attendance, and logging safety incidents or injuries.Performing general administrative tasks, including managing and maintaining resources for assigned programs.What We OfferNGS is committed to helping staff succeed in the hybrid teaching and learning world and has made significant investments in Information Communication Technology. Experience with accurate inputting, maintenance and reporting of data using automated departmental management system and/or databases.Proven capacity to work within a team and successfully meet predetermined outcomes within determined deadlines.Relevant coaching qualifications or experience coaching a variety of sports.Exceptional capability and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.This is a Full-time Permanent role which has been assessed as a Level 2 Clerical Officer. Remuneration will be considered based on experience. Salary range, excluding super is up to $75k.Shortlisting for this position will commence immediately.
