Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training)Full timeWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher on a Full-time ongoing basis to join our Secondary School team.Key responsibilities include:Successful teaching experience in Secondary Science and understanding of the Australian Curriculum.Ability and willingness to contribute to the development and design of quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.Ability to engage in supporting the well-being of students.Demonstration of effective communication and collaboration with students, parents and staff.Be fully supportive of the Islamic ethos, values and practices of the College.Assisting with the identification of learning needs through collaborative engagement with teachers.Supporting academic staff in developing appropriate strategies to suit students' individual learning needs.Utilizing effective strategies to support students in class, in small groups, and individually.Monitoring student outcomes and providing feedback to relevant academic staff.Active involvement in the academic, student wellbeing, co-curricular programs, as they are pivotal to the holistic development of each student.Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:4 years Education degree.Current Queensland College of Teachers registration (or eligibility to apply).Extensive knowledge of teaching strategies to achieve optimal learning outcomes for students.Excellent technological literacy.The ability to work collaboratively and energetically within a high-performing school culture.Qualification and Essential Criteria required:Experience in The Alpha School System (TASS) is preferable. Well-developed computer skills in the area of computerised spreadsheets and other associated computer software.Demonstrated experience in a student enrolment role or similar. It is desirable for school or education sector experience.Ability to work under pressure and/or timeframes; plan and organise workload, and capable of exercising a high degree of database confidentiality.Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced high volume environment and ability to take ownership and work autonomously on our administration function.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with all members of the school community both individually and as a member of a team.About the CollegeThe Islamic College of Brisbane (ICB) is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, independent growing school, located on the southern outskirts of Brisbane in the suburb of Karawatha located in the South East Queensland region.
