We are seeking expressions of interest for the following full-time position (1.0 FTE): Secondary School English Teacher (Middle School: Year 7-9) We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and inspiring English teacher with experience and qualifications to teach English to Year 9 level, commencing in January 2025.
The successful applicant must have: relevant qualifications and experience, be approachable and relate well to students, parents and fellow staff members experience in writing and implementing the English curriculum a passion for teaching English to Secondary School students and, in particular, Middle School students in an engaging and relevant way. Essential Knowledge and Experience: You will have:
an active Christian faith a passion for living out your Christian faith and prepared to model, uphold and support the Ethos and Core Values of the College a deeply relational, friendly and open personality outstanding teaching skills in your subject area a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all the students that you teach excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team-building and mentoring skills the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that your students are always well-provided for a commitment to supporting College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management an understanding of technology and the ability to integrate this into your teaching confidently. Qualifications: You will have:
relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA) current Working With Children Card current Police Clearance. Additional Requirements: The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations Modules if not already completed.
