Located in Pymble, Sydney, Northside Montessori School is a well-established and regarded Montessori school which caters for students from Early Childhood, Primary and Adolescent (Secondary). Northside has long been committed to offering a robust and high-quality authentic Montessori education.
We are currently seeking a Secondary Information Technologies Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2025.
Our curriculum is based on the work of Dr Montessori while also aligned with the requirements of NESA. We have an established Year 7, 8 and 9 program, adding Year 10 in 2025 and Year 11 & 12 in 2026/27. We intend to implement the International Baccalaureate program in conjunction with our Montessori ethos for Years 11 and 12 and are currently an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate School.
The ideal applicant will be suitably qualified with a Teaching Degree, have the right to work in Australia and be eligible for Teacher Accreditation through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). A willingness to undertake specific Montessori Adolescent Teacher Training and subject specific International Baccalaureate training is necessary, and experience working within a Montessori School would be an advantage. Expertise in your subject area and a creative, flexible approach to teaching, a willingness to work collaboratively with staff and families and a determination to be a life-long learner are also essential qualities of any candidate. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, and experience serving diverse learning needs. A passion for working with the adolescent age group is a must. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a closely collaborative team of educators in a supportive and positive teaching environment.
In this role, an innovative approach to design, information technology and the delivery of content in a practical and hands-on manner would be a great advantage.
